### Job responsibilities

Are you a highly experienced clinical professional who thrives in challenging environments, enjoys developing others and wants to influence care quality across an entire organisation? Join Elysium Healthcare as a Clinical Skills & Learning Specialist and play a pivotal role in strengthening clinical practice, enhancing workforce capability and supporting services when they need it most.

This is a unique and rewarding role that goes far beyond traditional learning and development. Combining advanced clinical expertise, education and operational support, you will work closely with the Chief Nurse, senior clinical leaders and Learning & Development teams to improve clinical standards and support the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care across our services.

As a senior clinical practitioner and educator, you will create and facilitate structured, calendarised clinical learning programmes that equip colleagues with the skills, confidence and knowledge required to deliver exceptional care. Through coaching, training and professional support, you will help develop registered nurses, healthcare staff and clinical leaders, promoting best practice and continuous improvement across the organisation.

A key aspect of the role is providing responsive clinical support to services experiencing challenges or increased risk. You will be expected to deploy into clinical environments at short notice to support teams, provide expert guidance and coaching, and help stabilise situations where patient safety, care quality or workforce capability require immediate attention. Working closely with senior leaders, you will support responses to clinical incidents, quality concerns, safety alerts, regulatory findings and emerging risks.

Using your clinical expertise and professional credibility, you will act as a trusted resource for services, helping teams enhance practice in real time, particularly within high-acuity, complex or pressured environments. While the role has no direct line management responsibilities, you will have significant influence across the organisation, leading through expertise, coaching and collaboration to drive improvements in care delivery and clinical outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

- Act as a senior clinical specialist and educator, and at times sole organisational resource for rapid-response clinical support, shaping and influencing practice to deliver measurable improvements in clinical capability, patient safety and care quality across services
- Design, deliver and embed high-quality clinical training and development programmes that drive consistency, competence and excellence in practice
- Operate as a flexible, high-impact clinical resource, able to respond to and stabilise challenged environments while building sustainable improvements in capability and practice

- Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN

- Strong communication skills, in working with individuals experiencing acute mental distress and in risk management and multi-agency engagement
- Significant post-registration experience in high-acuity mental health or complex care environments
- Experience working with senior clinical leaders on quality, safety or improvement initiatives
