Why you should join our Team

This is a unique opportunity to lead and influence services across some of the Trust's most complex and high-profile Speech and Language Therapy pathways. Rather than focusing on direct clinical delivery, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Head and Neck Cancer and ENT services through strategic leadership, workforce development, service transformation and quality improvement.

As a Clinical Service Manager, you will work alongside experienced clinical leads and multidisciplinary teams to ensure services remain responsive, sustainable and patient-centred. You will have the opportunity to lead change, support staff development, contribute to organisational priorities and influence service delivery across the wider Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service.

The role is ideally suited to an experienced Speech and Language Therapy leader who is motivated by developing people, improving services and making a lasting impact on patient care through effective leadership.

What you will bring to the role

The post holder will provide operational and professional leadership across the Head and Neck Cancer and ENT Speech and Language Therapy pathways, whilst contributing to the management and development of the wider Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service.

The role will focus on strategic and operational leadership, including workforce planning, service improvement, quality and governance, recruitment and retention, financial management and delivery of service objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with pathway clinical leads and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective and sustainable services and will contribute to wider departmental and organisational priorities.

Applicants should demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of Speech and Language Therapy practice together with significant leadership and management experience. While knowledge of Head and Neck Cancer and ENT services would be advantageous, we welcome applications from candidates with transferable leadership skills and experience of managing services within Speech and Language Therapy.

Please see the attached job description for further information about this vacancy.
