Colchester Hospital are looking for a Clinical Scientist in Radiotherapy. You will be expected to participate in a broad range of radiotherapy physics activities including quality assurance of radiotherapy treatment equipment, treatment planning (EBRT and Brachytherapy), and providing assistance with computing throughout the department. You will work closely with colleagues within our multi-disciplinary team of physicists, engineers, radiographers and clinicians. Colchester Hospital is equipped with 2 new TrueBeam multi-modality linacs routinely delivering VMAT, FFF and SABR techniques plus, plus a Halcyon linac with Hypersight imaging, an Xstrahl treatment unit and a Bravos treatment unit. The departments Aria system is provided by a Varian Managed Service, treatment plans are produced using the Eclipse treatment planning system.  We have a Siemens Go.Open Pro CT simulator with access to MR scanning slots for radiotherapy.  You will possess an honours degree in physics with relevant postgraduate experience preferably including a higher degree. Ideally you will be HCPC state registered as a Clinical Scientist however if you are eligible for registration within 6 months of taking the position you are encouraged to apply. ### Main duties of the job You will be expected to participate in a broad range of radiotherapy physics activities including quality assurance of radiotherapy treatment equipment, treatment planning (EBRT and Brachytherapy), and providing assistance with computing throughout the department.
