We are delighted to provide an exciting opportunity for motivated Clinical Safety Officers to join our Digital Team, collaborating closely with the Digital Clinical Matron, on transformative digital projects.

We are actively seeking candidates with a passion for growth and a proven track record as a Clinical Safety Officer, ideally within the NHS. Experience in collaborating with Technology and Clinical Teams to ensure compliance with NHS Digital Information Standards DCB0129: Clinical Risk Management and DCB0160: Clinical Risk Management is essential.

### Main duties of the job

Successful candidates will serve as Clinical Safety Professionals, supporting Technology and Clinical Teams with NHS Digital Information Standards DCB0129 and DCB0160 compliance. You'll help ensure safe delivery of organisational changes, provide governance guidance within the Clinical Safety Team, and contribute to digital transformation (EPR) and health records digitisation.

The role includes assisting the Chief Nursing Information Officer in enhancing patient information systems across clinical services. Commitment, effective communication, and ability to work independently under pressure are required; prior digital workspace experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.      The successful candidates will be based at the Doncaster site, however you will be asked to work at any location within the Trust. Demands on the service may require changes in hours of work or base.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge & Experience

**Essential**

- Substantial NHS experience working at a senior level in a risk management related role
- Knowledge of professional practice standards
- Ability to problem solve and analyse individual projects in a complex organisation
- Has experience in multi-agency liaison and collaborative & partnership working

**Desirable**

- Project Management experience
- Has experience in working in healthcare information technology field
- Experience of undertaking complex investigations including root cause analysis

### Qualifications & Training

**Essential**

- Formal clinical qualification, post graduate diploma or equivalent (e.g. NMC, GMC, GPhC or HCPC registration)
- Master's Degree or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience
- Qualified Clinical Safety Officer or the willingness to undertake training
- Evidence of proven Leadership or Management qualification

**Desirable**

- Accredited Clinician
- Clinical Safety Officer qualification

**Essential**

- Highly Developed specialist knowledge of the National Clinical Risk agenda underpinned by theory and experience
- Proven track record of managing change
- Advanced negotiating skills within complex, challenging and at times antagonistic environments
- Excellent Communication Skills and IT Skills
- Excellent business analysis skills: able to produce metrics, analyse and interpret information and produce regular reports on status, trend analysis and service improvement
- Demonstrates good leadership skills as well as the ability to be a good team member
- Can motivate others to encourage collaborative working to improve service/performance where there may be resistance to change
