The principle aim for this post will be to facilitate clinical research and trials for adults and paediatric patients. The individual will be involved in the detailed phenotyping of patients with various ocular diseases and be involved in grading of retinal images in the Moorfields Reading Centre. The post holder will identify suitable participants for clinical trials and natural history studies. They will also see the recruited trial / study patients at their screening, baseline and follow-up visits. ### Main duties of the job The post-holder will be based in the Clinical Research Facility at Moorfields Eye Hospital and they will be integrated in a large team of clinicians and scientists developing new treatments for ocular diseases. He/she will acquire expertise in the use and interpretation of a range of psychophysical assessments including microperimetry and detailed colour vision assessments, and imaging studies including fundus photography, autofluorescence imaging, and high-resolution optical coherence tomography.
