The post is based in the experienced multidisciplinary Learning Disability and Neurodevelopmental Team in Greenwich CAMHS. The post involves delivering a highly specialist psychology service to children and young people with a wide range of emotional, psychological and mental health difficulties, who also have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD or a Learning Disability. There is a strong psychological therapies presence in the team, with multiple Clinical Psychologists, an Assistant Psychologist, CBT Therapist, Art Therapist and Family Therapist. Psychology offers a range of evidenced based therapies, such as CBT, CFT, Narrative Therapy and EMDR within the team, embedded within a neuro-affirmative approach. The post holder will also have opportunities to develop skills in NVR. ### Main duties of the job The post holder will have the opportunity to take a leadership role for an aspect of clinical care, such as developing a treatment pathway, or service improvement. These are just two examples and there will be scope to discuss other leadership options aligning with the post-holder’s interests. Other aspects of the role include providing specialist psychological assessment, intervention and treatment; undertaking goal-based case management; supervising trainee clinical psychologists and qualified psychologists; offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues within and outside the organisation; and utilising research skills for audit, service development and research projects within the service. In addition, the postholder will be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines, consistent with CYP-IAPT principles and within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to overall service delivery as required. The post‑holder will be part of a large and well‑established psychology team. We offer excellent support, regular supervision, and CPD opportunities.
