We welcome applications from newly qualified psychologists as well as those wishing to further develop their therapeutic and consultation skills. As part of the Sirona Adult Learning Disability Health Service (SALDHS), you will join a highly valued psychology team within a multidisciplinary community service covering Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. You will play a key role in supporting people with learning disabilities and those around them. Referrals are varied and may include work relating to loss and bereavement, trauma, relationships, neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric conditions (including autism), dementia and other neurodegenerative conditions, mental health difficulties, and risks of harm to self or others. Our team draws on a range of clinical expertise and therapeutic approaches. We are committed to professional development and have a ring-fenced psychology CPD budget. Recent funding has supported training in CFT, ACT, DDP and EMDR, alongside attendance at national conferences. The service operates a hybrid model of home and office-based working. This maternity cover post is for up to 11 hours per week and is primarily based in South Gloucestershire. ### Main duties of the job As part of the team, you would provide highly specialist assessments, clinical formulations, therapeutic interventions and wider service support to prevent and reduce the incidence and impact of psychosocial/mental health difficulties. You will contribute to clinical case discussion and share psychological thinking with the team.
