## Job Content

### Job overview

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate clinical psychologist to join us in Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust CAMHS.

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 7 or newly qualified clinical psychologist to join our specialist enhanced CFC service in CAMHS which caters for the unique mental health needs of cared for children and care leavers.

The Staying Close Clinical Psychologist works with care leavers (aged 16-25), providing a mixture of direct and indirect clinical work as part of Stockport’s innovative Wellbeing Hub. The Hub is lead by a Principal Clinical Psychologist, and brings together two specialist services: the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Team, which supports children aged 0–18 who are at child protection level or cared for by Stockport Family, and the Staying Close Wellbeing Service, which promotes the emotional wellbeing and mental health of care‑experienced young people aged 16–25 who have lived in residential care. Together, these services provide a psychologically informed, relationally attuned offer for some of Stockport’s most vulnerable children and young people.

### Main duties of the job

You will be supported with regular supervision from our Principal Clinical Psychologist, and work alongside Therapeutic Social Workers and staff from CAMHS, and the broader Cared For Children’s Enhanced service.

The team takes a formulation driven, trauma‑informed and trauma-responsive approach. As part of the role, you will provide consultations, formulations and reflective practice to support colleagues in understanding and responding to the emotional needs of care experienced young people, helping to strengthen the psychological thinking that underpins care planning and multi‑agency decision making.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This is an exciting time to join Pennine Care, as we develop our Trust Wide enhanced offer for cared for children. You will join a wider community of practice of psychologists, assistants, senior mental health workers and social workers specialising in working for cared for children. You will be supported to develop your specialist clinical practice and, if a newly qualified practitioner, have time for self-directed learning.

For informal enquiries please contact: Dr Kate Danvers, Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Trust-wide Strategic Lead for Cared For Children Service, Pennine Care CAMHS \[email protected\]
