This includes the provision of therapeutic groups and consultative advice and support. MDT working will be integral to the role, including involvement in MDT meetings and regular liaison and joint working with professional colleagues, including support of the wider team in relation to psychological aspects of care and management of risk. The post holder will supervise the assistant psychologist and as part of an 8a role will also supervise a trainee on placement. To promote an understanding of the psychological needs of people with learning disabilities by taking part in professional communications, education, policy development and audit and research.
