We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to support the learning needs of the staff on Critical Care. The successful candidate will be working with a dedicated team of professionals who deliver both bespoke and mandatory training to our staff on the Critical Care unit. You will support new starters on our induction programme and will support staff to achieve their STEPS competencies. You will also co-ordinate and support students on placement within Critical Care and be a clear link for further education within ACCT. This role has been approved for advertising; however, it is also being assessed as a suitable alternative employment opportunity. As a result, the vacancy may be withdrawn or there may be a delay before shortlisting can begin. This role is open to all applicants. However, in line with Cornwall First recruitment principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. ### Main duties of the job Coordination, support and development of ongoing training for critical care teams. Liaison with the relevant Higher Education Institute(s) to ensure that placement requirements are being met to support all students within critical care. Support and development of assessors and supervisors in practice. Provision of clinically based education with the critical care areas supporting critical care staff. Additionally the post holder will undertake other teaching and learning activities that enhance the development of both high quality patient care and a highly skilled, competent workforce.
