Pay Rates: £28.90 per hour

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 09:00-17:15

### Main duties of the job

- Participate in clinical pharmacy services including, prescription review, patient counselling, adverse drug reaction reporting and therapeutic drug monitoring and individualisation of patients drug therapy.
- Undertake clinical and technical duties in the dispensary dependant on service requirements.
- Provide expert advice to medical and nursing staff on matters relating to safe, economic and effective drug use, including implementation of the Medicines Management Policy, Hospital Formulary and all Trust drug related policies.
- Participate in delivery of the departmental in-house training scheme for all staff including pre-registration trainee pharmacists, pharmacists and postgraduate diploma student, undergraduates, technicians and student technicians.
- Assist in planning and implementing clinical pharmacy service developments and other medicines related change.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- NHS experience is Highly Desirable including Clinical Pharmacy experience.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Masters Degree in Pharmacy or UK recognised equivalent.

**Desirable**

- Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.
