## Job Content

### Job overview

Come and join us to develop your current knowledge by rotating through clinical areas and specialities in primary and secondary care. Examples of areas include medicine, surgery including pre-operative clinics, mental health, aseptic services, community hospitals and community resource teams.

We are committed to providing the best learning and supportive experience for pharmacists and believe this is an ideal stepping stone towards specialist/advanced practice. You will have mentorship from experienced advanced and consultant pharmacists in a variety of clinical areas. You will be supported to develop your prescribing role and to gain core advanced level credentialing with the RPS. We have good links with local universities which provide research and development opportunities. We support further education through advanced and extended practice funding.

Our clinical pharmacy team provides a high quality, patient-centred service ensuring safe and effective use of medicines across the integrated health community. The implementation of the Better Meds electronic prescribing system  earlier this year is transforming our way of working. As a pharmacist working in various multi-disciplinary teams, you will deliver excellent pharmaceutical care and medicines optimisation to achieve the best outcome for our patients.

### Main duties of the job

We recognise that our profession's future leadership will come from pharmacist like you with drive and ability.  Your professionalism, excellent inter-personal skills and enthusiasm, will equip you to be a valued contributor to our service and to be a key member of our clinical pharmacy team. Our ambition is to deliver high quality care and embed continuous improvement. There will be opportunities to develop education and training skills through links with the newly established Bangor University School of Pharmacy and you will participate in the clinical training and supervision of undergraduate pharmacy student, pharmacy team members, as well as medical and nursing colleagues. Be a part of our highly motivated, friendly team and share our values of caring for people and keeping them well by influencing the future direction of pharmacy services. We are looking forward to your application.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
