Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust is undergoing an exciting transformation of community mental health services to develop integrated neighbourhood mental health teams.  We are committed to providing robust clinical pathways and ensuring that people using our services have timely access to high quality, evidence-based psychological interventions. To support delivery of our clinical pathways we are investing in a range of psychological roles.  We are recruiting to 9 Psychologists posts (Band 7/8a) to join our Adult Neighbourhood Community Mental Health Services across Surrey.

- South-West Surrey – 2 posts
- North-West Surrey – 2 posts
- Surrey Downs – 2 posts
- East Surrey – 2 posts

These roles will sit within – and in some cases work across – our new community neighbourhood teams, supporting the delivery of integrated, person-centred care.

### Main duties of the job

As a Trust we pride our-selves on our innovative and collaborative approach to providing the highest quality, person-centred care: As part of our transition to a neighbourhood model of care, we are developing integrated clinical pathways across primary, secondary care and crisis and emergency service. Our pathways embody strong partnership working with a wide range of statutory and VCSE providers and people with lived experience. Each of the advertised roles is key to ensuring therapies pathways are high quality, effective and accessible across the adult age range, and that psychosocial interventions are embedded in wider service delivery.

Unless 8a competencies are met at the time of application, the successful candidate will commence in post at band 7 and then work towards individualised competencies as discussed with the Sector Manager and Psychology Lead.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working with people from across the life span with a range of mental health issues and cognitive profiles.
- Experience across a range of psychological models including systemic, behavioural and individual therapeutic and any model specified in the advert

**Desirable**

- Training in supervision and experience of supervising assistant and trainee clinical psychologists, or achieved within the first six months of start post (Band 8a)
- Demonstrable post registration/clinical experience and competency relevant to this care group (Band 8a)
- Experience of contributing to clinical practice/service development/project work (Band 8a)
- Demonstrable interest/skill in a relevant specialist area (Band 8a)

### Registration

**Essential**

- HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist or current trainee with eligibility in 2026

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology qualification or equivalent (including pending 2026 qualification).
