The Central Norfolk CFYP services are currently organised into a 0 to 14 CAMHs service and a 14 - 18 Youth Service although we are about to enter a period of transition moving to a 0 -18 CAMHS service and 18 - 25 Young adult (YAMHs) service , it is possible whilst this role will be initially based it youth it could move to either of these 2 services . We have enthusiastic and skilled staff who provide the support that is needed - and they are motivated to make a real difference to young people, their families and carers.

Additionally, we are making a number of positive changes to the service; seeing waiting-lists drop and taking opportunities to think innovatively about our practice.

We’re really excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to work in our diverse multi-disciplinary team (MDT). If successful you will be a leader within the team; providing support and inspiring your staff. You will also provide skilled clinical interventions to 0-14 year-olds; making a real difference to the lives of young people in Norfolk.

### Main duties of the job

The role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is to provide specialist clinical interventions to our young people, their families and loved ones. It also involves delivery of leadership activities within the team.

If appointed, you will:

- Deliver clinical interventions.
- Work as a non-medical prescriber.
- Offer support, supervision and informal training to your colleagues.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
- Undertake other clinical tasks within the team.
- Support  the Community Team Manager.

You will have a nursing qualification, trained as a non-medical prescriber, and will have developed their skills through extensive experience in mental health.

- Extensive experience at which has required supervision and mentorship of others
- Extensive experience of practice within clinical area with proven track record in delivering high quality care

**Desirable**

- Teaching or Training experience or qualification
- Experience of facilitation in groups
- Experience of implementing evidence based practice and or service improvement initiative

### Qualifications

- Registered Mental Health or equivalent professional qualification
- Non-Medical Independent Prescriber
- Degree Level Qualification or equivalent or equivalent level
