As part of our forward‑thinking Hand Outpatient Team, you’ll expand your clinical knowledge in hands and plastics, develop advanced assessment and treatment skills, and contribute directly to high‑quality patient care. This role also includes rotation into the Hand Trauma Co‑ordination position — a pivotal responsibility that helps us optimise both outpatient flow and theatre capacity.

You’ll be joining a supportive, skilled, and genuinely passionate team where your growth, curiosity, and commitment will be valued every day.

### Main duties of the job

In this role, you will:

- Lead nurse‑led clinics — independently reviewing, planning, treating and safely discharging patients with a wide range of hand injuries and conditions.
- Work collaboratively across the Hand Unit — complementing and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, high‑quality care.
- Ensure smooth, efficient clinic flow — helping to maintain a well‑organised, patient‑centred outpatient environment.
- Apply specialist expertise in wound care — including plastics post‑operative reviews, to manage complex wounds confidently and effectively.
- Co‑ordinate staffing, clinic activity and theatre bookings — playing a key part in maximising service efficiency. This operational leadership responsibility is undertaken on a rotational basis.
