We are looking for a band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist to work within Specialist Palliative Care which is a community based team of Doctors and Nurses. The role will involve working with our Specialist Palliative Care, Occupational Therapy and Art Psychotherapy team colleagues alongside Primary Care, Community services and Bronglais General Hospital. The role will involve working with colleagues to support the holistic care of people with life-limiting illness.

Our aim is to improve the quality of life for these patients and their families, by providing advice and support in assessing and managing physical, psychological, social and spiritual issues.

The opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to join this friendly, busy service.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care and provide expert advice and clinical practice.

You will be able to work autonomously and manage your own workload whilst providing specialist education and training.  You will be expected to work collaboratively and co-operatively with clinical colleagues to develop services and the quality of care delivered, providing leadership in the development of clinical services within the specialist field.

You will at all times demonstrate the Health Board’s values and ensure that others demonstrate the same values.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
