An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our well established, motivated and forward thinking respiratory medical/ heart failure team at the Princess of wales Hospital in Bridgend as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

Clinical:

The CNS will be expected to provide support the consultant in the assessment, diagnostic investigations and management of patients referred to the Heart failure service as outpatient or inpatient. They will need be able to undertake a clinical examination, request and interpret biochemistry, haematology, histology and microbiology and echocardiogram results.

Education- provision of education to a multi-professional audience around specialist area of practice and to patient and families. Maintenance of own education and a live portfolio of evidence in line with HEIW Enhanced and Advanced Framework for Wales and HB requirements. The candidate is expected to have completed or be willing to work toward Level 7/Masters level clinical education and non-medical independent prescribing qualification.

Leadership- influence and support service change. Influence the agenda around specialist area of practice locally and nationally. Support the development of clinical guidelines and policy relevant to heart failure.

Research- use of Evidence Based Practice. Undertake/ support
