The ideal candidate will have expert level respiratory knowledge and be able to deliver clinical leadership for the management of high acuity and complex respiratory patients.  They will support assessment, treatment and decision‑making across critical care, acute medicine and surgery and lead on the acute ward based non-invasive ventilation (NIV) delivery for the Trust, including providing training on NIV/NIV set up to others. You will act as a visible clinical role model, offering expert guidance and support to physiotherapists, students and to the wider MDT. The post holder will also provide line management, leadership and supervision to senior staff and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.  There will also be the requirement to support competency development, education, audit and research activities within the respiratory speciality and the wider team.
