## Job Content

### Job overview

Ready to take the next step in your physiotherapy career? We’re offering an exciting fixed‑term Clinical Lead opportunity within our Children’s Therapy Service in West Lancashire — and we’re looking for someone who brings energy, curiosity and a passion for improving care.

If you’re keen to explore new ways of working, bring your ideas for service improvement to life, and support colleagues to deliver the highest standard of person‑centred care for children and families, this role could be the perfect fit.

Based at Milestones, our purpose‑built children’s physical therapy centre in Ormskirk hospital, our service supports children and young people aged 0–19 across a range of specialist pathways including MSK, Early Years, Coordination Difficulties and Long‑Term Conditions.  We are looking for an experienced Children’s Physiotherapist with strong clinical skills who can work autonomously in community settings as the postholder will manage a caseload of children and young people with complex and/or additional needs.  The service delivers responsive and flexible physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children across the West Lancashire footprint and therefore you will be expected to travel on a daily basis from our base to a range of community settings including mainstream and special schools, nurseries, family hubs and children’s homes, often in rural areas across.

### Main duties of the job

As Clinical Lead, you’ll also provide expert clinical guidance and supervision, lead on specialist pathways, and help shape the future of the service. You will play a key role in shaping and transforming the service in line with best practice, upholding Trust values and ensuring excellent service‑user experience.

Whether you already have leadership experience or are eager to develop this aspect of your practice, we will support you.  An induction and handover from the current Clinical Leads will ensure a smooth transition, and relevant support will be provided to help you thrive in the role. We have a strong clinical and professional leadership team who are invested in supporting and developing staff backed up by the Trust’s commitment towards staff well-being. We, in turn, would welcome applicants with innovative and creative ideas, who will demonstrate a keen willingness to support the continued development of themselves and others as well as the service.
