We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Lead of Paediatric Physiotherapy to provide strategic, professional and operational leadership for our hospital-based paediatric physiotherapy services at Evelina Children's Hospital.

Leading a highly skilled physiotherapy workforce, you will drive excellence across inpatient, outpatient and specialist services. You will play a key role in service development, quality improvement, workforce leadership and innovation, ensuring the highest standards of care for children, young people and their families.

### Main duties of the job

As Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, you will provide strategic, operational and professional leadership for paediatric physiotherapy services across Evelina London Children's Hospital. Leading a large and diverse team of physiotherapists, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care while driving service improvement, innovation and transformation. You will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, senior leaders and professional networks to shape and develop services that meet the needs of children, young people and their families.

The role includes leadership of workforce development, clinical governance, quality improvement, education and research activity, alongside maintaining expert clinical practice within your specialist area. You will play a key role in delivering major service developments, supporting integrated models of care, influencing professional practice locally and nationally, and creating an environment where staff can thrive, develop and deliver excellent outcomes for patients.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Expert theoretical and practical knowledge of a wide range of approaches to the management patients with a sub-speciality of paediatric conditions
- Able to demonstrate leadership ability with multi-professional teams - to take responsibility, make decisions and exert appropriate authority within a directorate/organisation.
- Ability to manage change and contain conflict ensuring resolution with positive outcomes; to build rapport, listen, negotiate and persuade.
- Show resilience and determination and demonstrate leadership in contexts that are unfamiliar, complex and unpredictable

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of finance/budgets
- Able to take responsibility, make decisions and exert appropriate authority across organisational boundaries.

### Physical

**Essential**

- Objective, calm, professional demeanour - ability to frequently cope with working in a stressful environment and with intense concentration
- Able to carry out concurrent activities (multi-tasking) and work in an unpredictable working patterns

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- First degree in physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Evidence of expert clinical and professional development and training in rehabilitation physiotherapy practice
- Recognised post-graduate study at M-level (e.g. MSc)

**Desirable**

- Member of relevant multi professional interest group

### Previous experience

**Essential**

- Proven leadership and evidence of team management and supervision
- Expert theoretical and practical knowledge of a wide range of approaches to the management of patients with a sub-speciality of paediatric conditions acquired through extensive experience as an autonomous clinical expert
- Evidence of challenging traditional models/processes of care and suggesting/implementing innovations in clinical practice
- Significant experience of service development/re-modelling/transformation

**Desirable**

- Previous experience at Clinical Lead or Consultant level
- Experience of establishing new training programmes and teaching courses
