This is a key role for a lead in Type 2 Remission: Diabetes Dietetics, involving both clinical and leadership responsibilities. If you already hold a dietetic role and are ready to explore increased responsibility and knowledge in this exciting and rewarding specialist area please contact Laura Jones - Service Lead in Diabetes Dietetics to discuss and find out more. ### Main duties of the job You will: - deliver expert level clinical Diabetes Dietetics, managing a complex caseload of patients with Diabetes focusing on those individuals looking to achieve Type 2 diabetes remission. - Manage a diabetes caseload, informing multi-disciplinary care (inc. Primary care and stakeholders) and provide expert support and clinical supervision for dietitians / support workers / practice based learners/ administrators Health Board wide. - Clinically lead the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice in relation to adult Type 2 Diabetes remission dietetics, Health Board wide. - Work as an integral member of the adult diabetes multi-professional leadership team, driving excellent nutritional care through evidence based practice. - Ensure seamless service planning and delivery from promotion of service, recruitment of service users and evaluation of intervention. - Clinically lead the development and delivery of education and training in relation to diabetes working across Multi profession platforms and multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) to support optimal effective diabetes care. - Compassionately and effectively line manage members of the diabetes dietetic team.
