This role is open to all applicants. However, in line with Cornwall First recruitment principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department assisting in the smooth running of MRI scanning, there will be the occasional requirement to support Computed Tomography (CT) scanning lists and other departments in clinical imaging as required. Within this role you will be required to perform dedicated specialised tasks specific to the area you are working in. The post holder will also be expected to provide support to the multidisciplinary team across the wider clinical imaging service to deliver high standards of patient care.

This role is based at RCH but there will be an expectation that the successful will rotate to Bodmin CDC as required. For this reason, transport and a driving licence are required

The post holder is expected to hold an NVQ at level 3 within healthcare

Comply with local and Trust procedures to ensure health and safety in the workplace.

Undertake clinical procedures, with a degree of autonomy to support pre, peri and post procedural care.

Support the practitioners in managing clinical workflow through the service

Undertake general administrative and clerical duties as required.

Support new members of the CIA team in their development.

### training

**Essential**

- RCHT/ NHS Mandatory training

**Desirable**

- Demonstrates continual development

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience in Healthcare

**Desirable**

- Previous experience of a support worker role.
- Previous experience of working within a clinical imaging modality e.g CT / MRI
- Experience of working in MRI
- Experience of working in the NHS

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- NVQ/BTEC level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent

### Practical and Intellectual Skills

**Essential**

- Effective and adaptable communication skills
- Knowledgeable of safety procedures related to clinical imaging and health e.g. COSHH, infection prevention, manual handling.
- Knowledge of aseptic non technique and sterile procedures
- Able to complete pre-procedural checks in at least one modality.

**Desirable**

- Comprehensive knowledge of health & safety within at least one imaging modality
- Can perform specialist procedures (ie cannulation, venepuncture etc)
