You will be a core member of the team delivering personal care, both clinical and non-clinical, to patients.  You’ll also be key in supporting patients with their own self-care and independence. Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a Health/Health and Social Care role, ideally with experience of working in an acute hospital setting. If you haven’t got previous care experience, that’s no problem. We’ll teach you everything you need to know. To us, it’s more important that you’re a caring and kind person with a genuine desire to help and support patients and their families. Before you start in your new role, we will provide you with all the training you need. You will start on our induction programme to help you settle in and we’ll teach you all the skills you need to do the role, plus we will start you working towards achieving the Care Certificate. Many of our Clinical Healthcare Support Workers progress to registered nurses by taking the apprenticeship route while working at the RUH with full support from our nursing teams. ### Main duties of the job You will be supporting registered practitioners to deliver high quality, compassionate health care to people in accordance with assessed needs and a care plan. This is a busy role so you will be working together with your team to balance different tasks that often change.
