Clinical Healthcare Support Worker - Breast Care, Band 3  (15 hours a week)

You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary breast care team delivering a high quality patient centred service for its users and their supporters.

Additional working pattern details: To be able to work flexibly Monday to Friday.  3x 5 hr shifts 08:30-13:30 or 12:30-17:30

### Main duties of the job

Your main role will include, running and working within the symptomatic (2 week wait) clinic which runs daily. Your role will include supporting patients as they access services within the breast centre.   You will chaperone patients having assessments and treatments in an outpatient setting.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will be liaising with patients, carers, admin staff, nursing team and radiology staff, consultants and visitors to the centre. Therefore you should have excellent communication skills and uphold the professional image of the breast centre at all times. You must strive to deliver safe care within a busy, challenging and changing clinical environment.

You will need to be supportive of the clinic team and welcome new staff into the department. You will be highly organised and strive for a well-functioning clinic – ensuring patients are advised of any delays.

You will be expected to act as a professional role model delivering care in a respectful and sensitive manner.
