## Job Content

### Job overview

Applications are invited for a full-time Fixed Term Clinical Fellow post in Neonatal Medicine (ST1–3 equivalent), based within the Neonatal Unit at Southmead Hospital. The post is available to start as soon as possible and is initially offered for 12 months. There are 2 posts available.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a busy tertiary neonatal centre. Southmead Hospital is home to a 16-cot Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit and serves as a tertiary medical neonatal centre and joint lead provider for the South West Neonatal Network. With approximately 5,500 births each year, the unit delivers the full spectrum of neonatal intensive care, accepting tertiary referrals from across the South West.

The Neonatal Unit is recognised for its specialist expertise in Neonatal Neurology and provides a regional tertiary referral service for the South West of England. The department has a strong reputation for clinical excellence, research, education and evidence-based practice, offering an outstanding learning environment for doctors wishing to develop their neonatal medicine experience.

We are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion and welcome applications for flexible and job-share working arrangements.

### Main duties of the job
