This post will commence September 2026 and end in September 2027 and is a fixed term for 1 year. Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice at the time of application. ### Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic doctor to join the current Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a clinical fellow at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The service is delivered through four sites: St James University Hospital (SJUH), Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), Wharfdale General Hospital and Seacroft Hospital. The above post is suitable for doctors wishing to gain clinical experience at a ST3-5 level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post offers the successful candidate a wide range of experience in all areas of the specialty. Whilst this post is not recognised for training, the appointee will be supported by a Clinical Supervisor to meet their career and educational goals. Since 2020 LTHT has been one of three regional referral centres in the North of England for the management of Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS) complex obstetric surgery. The PAS team receive referrals from a large geographical area covering most of Yorkshire & Humber. The diagnostic service is led by fetal medicine consultant Dr Colette Sparey and the surgical service is run by Mr Dileep Wijeratne and Miss Lydia Coade.
