This a fixed term 6 month 0.7 WTE post and gives an amazing opportunity for someone wanting to gain some experience of Palliative Medicine in a busy acute teaching hospital. There are no on call commitments for this job. The start date for this job would be 5th August 2026 ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities You will work with the Supportive and Palliative Care team at Southampton General Hospital, working alongside the team to provide symptom control advice and support to patients in the acute hospital.   You will be expected to attend and contribute to daily handover and team discussion, then review patients referred to the team across the hospital. Depending on experience, these reviews will initially be done with another member of the team, but it is envisaged that you will develop your skills and confidence to conduct reviews of new and follow-up patients independently in time.
