Full time 12 Months fixed term Starting October 2026

### Main duties of the job

We have an opportunity to appoint a Clinical fellow in Palliative Medicine to support the provision of Specialist Palliative Care to the patients attending St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone needing experience in Specialist palliative Care before applying for Higher Specialist Training.

- Understanding of and adherence to the principles of Good Medical Practice set out by the General Medical Council

- Understanding of the principles and applications of clinical research in palliative medicine

- Evidence of teaching experience and/or training in teaching

- Ability to communicate with clarity and intelligibly in written and spoken English

- Evidence of working well in multidisciplinary teams

### Clinical Experience

**Essential**

- Broad medical experience with some experience of palliative care patients
- At least 12 months experience of working in the NHS

**Desirable**

- More extensive experience in palliative care setting

### Knowledge and Skills

**Essential**

- Knowledge of principles and practice of palliative care
- Appropriate level of clinical knowledge
- Appropriate experience and competence in common medical interventions

### Qualifications and Training

**Essential**

- Full GMC Registration
- MB BS or equivalent

**Desirable**

- Intercalated BSc or equivalent
- MRCP(UK/I), MRCGP or equivalent
