There is an exciting opportunity to work at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (Clinical Oncology services) in support of the further development of stereotactic radiotherapy services, focusing on service improvement, education and clinical research, depending on your clinical training needs.

### Main duties of the job

This is a fixed term 12 month contract (with potential to extend), with on-call supplement opportunity if required (not essential/required in post). It is ideally suited to a FRCR qualified trainee, wanting to expand and develop their CV prior to consultant post application. Non-UK trained applicants with current GMC registration, significant relevant radiation oncology training/clinical experience are also invited to apply, subject to initial discussion with the Clinical Director to ensure that role would fit with PP (ex. CESR) training needs. The post allows considerable flexibility for the doctors to choose their area of research or education, to develop their CVs or clinical experience

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the lung and wider stereotactic team for service delivery, and will work with other relevant clinical teams to help progress developments in our expanding SRS and SABR services at ICHT. There will be an opportunities to receiving training in a variety of tumour areas as per educational needs as required. ICHT has been delivering SABR for lung cancer since 2020 and is rapidly expanding to treat oligometastatic disease in line with NHS guidance

### Audit

**Essential**

- Understanding of principles of clinical audit

**Desirable**

- Service improvement experience

### Language

**Essential**

- Able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil the job requirements

### Clinical Skills

**Essential**

- Excellent team and communication skills
- Experience and competencies in acute oncology emergencies
- IT Skills and computer literacy

**Desirable**

- Prior SABR/SRS experience

### Teaching and training

**Desirable**

- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates/postgraduates and junior medical staff

### Education/ qualifications

**Essential**

- On GMC’s register with a Licence to Practice or eligible to apply for GMC registration and a Licence to Practice
- FRCR Part 1

**Desirable**

- Prior Clinical/Radiation Oncology experience/training
- Completion of core medical training
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians part II

### Leadership/ management skills

**Essential**

- Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority
