We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Clinical Fellow Higher (ST4+)/ Senior in Gastroenterology, Intestinal Rehabilitation and Intestinal Transplant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  Candidates who have completed IMT3 with full MRCP may be considered depending on previous experience.

There is one post available from 03 March 2027 for 6 to 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cambridge Centre for Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant, working in a thriving multi-disciplinary team across the Transplant and Digestive Diseases Directorates at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

### Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide medical care for patients requiring artificial nutrition and those undergoing intestinal and multivisceral transplantation.  The postholder will be supported by a team of Gastroenterologists, Transplant and Intestinal Failure Surgeons, Specialist Nurses, Coordinators, Psychologist and associated Resident Doctors. There will be opportunities for experience in other areas of Gastroenterology including inflammatory bowel disease or coeliac disease, as well as research opportunities.

In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification section of the job description – this post is not suitable for those aspiring to a career in surgery.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

**Essential**

- MRCP PACES or equivalent qualification (at application)
- Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (at point of application)
- Completion of UK Foundation Competencies
- Completion of UK Internal Medicine Training Competencies (IMT3) or equivalent
- If not in a Gastroenterology Training post in the UK or abroad, completion of a minimum of 6 months NHS service in a hospital medical specialty within the UK (at the time of application)
- Logbook indicating validated experience of appropriate range and number of clinical procedures
- To be eligible for appointment at the Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) level within this role you are required to have completed Specialty Registrar or equivalent training to ST6 level passing the associated competencies

**Desirable**

- European Specialty Examination in Gastroenterology (ESGE)
- Experience of Gastroenterology, Clinical Nutrition or Transplant at IMT3 or above
- Logbook of endoscopic procedures (training and independently)
