This post is ideal for doctors who have completed Foundation Training and are looking to develop their clinical skills, gain further experience in Emergency Medicine, or enhance their portfolio before entering specialty training. Working within a busy and diverse Emergency Department, you will be supported by an experienced and approachable team of Consultants, Specialty Doctors, ACPs, nursing colleagues and wider multidisciplinary staff who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care. You will be allocated an Educational Supervisor who will support your personal and professional development throughout the post. There are opportunities to become involved in quality improvement, teaching, simulation training and ultrasound, alongside funded study opportunities, including up to £1,500 towards relevant educational courses or qualifications such as a PGCert in Medical Education. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate doctors who have completed Foundation Training, hold a current ALS certificate and are keen to develop their Emergency Medicine experience within a supportive and forward-thinking department. ### Main duties of the job As a Clinical Fellow within our Emergency Department, you will play a key role in the assessment, investigation and management of patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. Working alongside experienced Consultants, Specialty Doctors, ACPs and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will develop your clinical decision-making skills within a supportive and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will gain experience across all areas of the Emergency Department, including majors, resuscitation and ambulatory pathways, with opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects, audit, teaching and simulation-based education.
