Working as part of a specialist Clinical Engineering team, you will undertake maintenance, repair, calibration, testing, and commissioning of medical devices, while providing expert technical support to clinical staff. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within one of London's leading NHS Trusts, working in an environment that values innovation, teamwork, and putting patients first. ### Main duties of the job - Carry out maintenance, repair, calibration and safety testing of a wide range of medical equipment. - Commission, install and acceptance-test new medical devices. - Diagnose faults and provide technical support to clinical departments across the Trust. - Ensure medical equipment complies with safety standards, regulations and quality requirements. - Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance programmes to maximise equipment availability. - Maintain accurate service, maintenance and calibration records. - Liaise with manufacturers and external service providers regarding repairs and specialist support. - Deliver training and advice to healthcare staff on the safe use of medical equipment. - Support equipment safety investigations, risk assessments and service improvement initiatives. - Contribute to the day-to-day running of the Clinical Engineering Department and support junior team members where required. You will undertake the maintenance, repair, calibration, testing, and commissioning of a wide range of medical devices, provide specialist technical support to clinical teams, and contribute to equipment safety, quality assurance, risk management, and staff training. The role also involves liaising with external suppliers and manufacturers, maintaining accurate service records, supporting service improvement initiatives, and helping to deliver a high-quality Clinical Engineering service across Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital.
