An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Endoscopist specialising in Lower GI / Colonoscopy to join our highly regarded JAG accredited Endoscopy service across our South Bank hospital sites - Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital and Scunthorpe General Hospital.

We are looking for a skilled autonomous practitioner who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care within a supportive, forward-thinking and flexible service.

This role offers the opportunity to join a small, experienced and close-knit team of four Clinical Endoscopists, including three Clinical Endoscopists and one Lead Clinical Endoscopist, within a department that genuinely prioritises team culture, wellbeing and work-life balance.

A key feature of our service is our successful self-rostering model, giving staff greater flexibility and autonomy over working patterns while maintaining strong team collaboration and excellent patient care. As an autonomous practitioner, you will independently undertake Lower GI endoscopy procedures, delivering safe, evidence-based care and contributing to excellent diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes for patients.

### Main duties of the job

- Independently undertake Lower GI endoscopy / colonoscopy lists across Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust sites, primarily Scunthorpe General Hospital and Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in line with JAG, BSG, NICE and Trust standards.
- Contribute to maintaining and developing the department’s JAG accredited status - something our team is extremely proud to have achieved.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to support service development, quality improvement and excellent patient experience.
- Participate in audit, quality assurance and governance processes including safety audits, outcomes monitoring and service improvement initiatives.
- Support and mentor colleagues, trainees and members of the wider MDT where appropriate.
- Act as a specialist clinical resource within the Endoscopy service, promoting best practice and professional excellence.
