### Job overview

The Clinical Effectiveness Support Officer plays a key role in supporting delivery of the Trust’s Clinical Effectiveness programme, with a particular focus on clinical audit and NICE activity. Working as part of the Clinical Effectiveness Team, the post holder coordinates and supports processes that underpin audit delivery, NICE compliance, and routine reporting.

The role combines administrative coordination with hands-on involvement in data handling, validation, analysis and reporting. This includes supporting national and local clinical audits, maintaining registers and tracking systems, and contributing to governance reporting.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident working with data. The role requires strong IT skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and effective communication with clinical and corporate teams to support delivery of the clinical effectiveness  programme of work.

### Main duties of the job

Main duties are to:

Support delivery of the Trust clinical audit programme including data validation, submission tracking and monitoring progress.

Assisting with data analysis, production of reports, charts and summaries.

Coordinate and support the NICE implementation process, maintaining records and liaising with clinical teams, tracking actions, progress and compliance.

Contribute to routine reporting within the Clinical Effectiveness governance framework.

Providing administrative support including central mailboxes, maintaining intranet content and supporting team processes.

Support coordination and delivery of clinical audit and NICE activity across the Trust.

Undertake data validation, analysis and reporting to ensure accuracy and quality of outputs

Maintain systems, registers and tracking processes to support oversight and assurance

Contribute to governance reporting and communication of key information

Work collaboratively with clinical services, corporate teams and external audit/NICE providers

Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures and data governance requirements

## Person Specification

### Essential and desirable

**Essential**

- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
- Diploma level qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience of working with data, data input and analysis
- Experience of using spreadsheets or databases to manage and analyse data
- Experience of progress tracking or coordinating workstreams, action logs or processes
- Ability to work to deadlines whilst managing competing priorities
- Experience of ordering/procurement
- Experience of use and maintenance of web-pages
- Knowledge of MS office applications, excel, powerpoint and MS Access

**Desirable**

- Qualification or training in clinical audit, data analysis, QI or information management
