An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre, enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our Clinical Effectiveness and Assurance team.  We are seeking a highly competent and experienced person with a high level of interpersonal, organisational and project management skills to be our Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator.  The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre and will have significant experience of working in clinical audit and supporting quality initiatives within the NHS, experience of supervising and managing staff is desirable.

The ideal candidate will have excellent facilitation, time, change and project management skills, and an eye for detail. They will be able to work both independently and as part of a team to inspire trust and confidence.  A sound knowledge of MS Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook, is required in order to collate and analyse clinical audit data.  Excellent negotiation and communication skills are required to present reports, both written and verbal, to a wide range of professionals across the organisation.  A flexible working pattern is needed to coincide with the accessibility of healthcare professionals. Experience in delivering training programmes is also desirable.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the promotion, co-ordination and delivery of clinical audit and effectiveness activity across the Trust including liaising with clinical leads to ensure engagement in the clinical audit programme and progress against clinical audit action plans. The role will also incorporate responsibilities for quality assuring the work undertaken by clinical effectiveness facilitators and healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support as required.

- Support the delivery of the trust wide quality strategy focussing on clinical effectiveness across the Trust.
- Co-ordinate robust and effective implementation of systems and processes developed for reviewing information and data relating to clinical effectiveness activities.
- Provide high level facilitation and co-ordination of action plans to support the effectiveness and assurance compliance for the Trust.
- Assist with advice and support to the clinical effectiveness function, Trust wide committees and specialty clinical teams to allow them to manage their clinical effectiveness activities effectively. E.g., QIPS report coordination, committee reports and group board reports.

Other responsibilities include supporting the Head of Clinical Effectiveness and Assurance by ensuring that a coordinated approach to managing the clinical audit programme and escalation of risks is done in a timely manner.  The successful candidate will oversee participation in national clinical audits and co-ordinate high-level summaries of national clinical audit activity providing comparative analysis of Trust performance to relevant Trust committees.  In addition to coordinating, facilitating and managing numerous clinical audit projects from a wide range of specialities; this will incorporate project design, data collection and analysis, report writing and presentation of completed projects. Coordinate Trust wide clinical audit activity ensuring clinical audit results are distributed widely to all relevant clinical specialities and provide support in the development and implementation of subsequent action plans.
