The post holder will regularly work clinically with CSWs enabling their support and maintenance of clinical skills.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Able to respond rapidly and authoritatively to changing organisational situations and to reset objectives
- Experience in communicating sensitive and challenging information
- Able to think creatively, analyse and solve complex problems

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Understanding of audit and evaluation processes
- Understanding of the requirements for Preceptorship using best practice guidelines
- Understanding of quality monitoring processes

### Experience

**Essential**

- Minimum of 5 years clinical /management experience.
- Experience of working with senior managers in the organisation to identify and support skills development
- Substantial experience of supervision and assessment of learners within the clinical setting
- Evidence of successful development of the clinical learning environment for students

**Desirable**

- Evidence of development of interprofessional learning opportunities
- Evidence of formal teaching and programme planning

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- NMC registration
- Evidence of continued professional development
- NMC approved Mentorship qualification.

**Desirable**

- PG Certificate in Education
- Practice Teacher course /Sign Off Mentor qualification
