### Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTM UHB) for a Clinical Director of Pathology Services. This senior leadership role will provide strategic and clinical leadership to shape and transform Pathology Services during a significant period of change.

Working with neighbouring health boards, CTM UHB is helping to develop a sustainable regional pathology model that delivers high-quality, care. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of pathology services while contributing to CTM UHB's ambition to provide outstanding care to our population.

We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative clinical leader with a strong track record of leading service improvement, innovation and workforce development within complex healthcare environments. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical, operational and managerial colleagues to deliver transformational change, ensuring services remain safe, effective and sustainable.

The post holder will build strong relationships across professional groups, organisational boundaries and wider health and care systems, providing expert clinical leadership and support to senior decision-making.

### Main duties of the job

To be successful, you will have the skills, energy and enthusiasm to lead clinical teams and drive the transformation needed to deliver the highest standards of care. You will inspire others, build strong relationships and play a key role in delivering our ambitious programme of change.

You will be supported by experienced Operational Leaders, Consultant Clinical Leads and multidisciplinary teams from within Haematology, Microbiology, Cellular Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry.
