The Royal London Dental Hospital is part of Barts Health and is a leading specialist hospital for first-class dental and Oral Health care & provides clinical excellence in all aspects of dentistry. ### Main duties of the job - The post holder will provide leadership to the Dental Nurse team on a daily basis, inspiring them with strong leadership, excellent clinical skills and a visible and exemplary commitment to patient-centeredness. - The post holder will work collaboratively with the Lead Dental Nurse and the Matron to escalate department and staffing issues where appropriate - The post holder will carry out clinical dental nursing on a minimum of two days per week, ensuring credibility with the nursing team and role modelling excellent clinical nursing skills. - The post holder will line manage the Senior Dental Nurses and an agreed number of Dental Nurses within the Postgraduate nursing team. - As well as line management of Dental Nurses, the post holder will work with closely with the Senior Dental Nurses to delegate a number of key operational tasks to the SDNs in the day-to-day operational management of clinical services - The post holder will represent their department at nurse management meetings and the clinical governance group, and will be expected to take responsibly for delivering agreed actions with nursing teams - The post holder will deputise for the Lead Dental Nurse in their absence ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities The full job description provides an overview of the key tasks and responsibilities of the role, and the person specification outlines the qualifications, skills, experience, and knowledge required.
