This is an exciting opportunity to join Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as part of our Stroke rehabilitation team.

The position of Clinical Data Support Officer is a new role within our Community Stroke Therapy Team. This role will be pivotal to the transformation of the stroke therapy services.

We are looking for someone who can efficiently and effectively manage the services administrative and data requirements, including reporting for national audit programmes.

They will work as an integral part of the Stroke therapy team, which consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants. The role will support day to day organisation of the team, working closely with all members of the stroke multidisciplinary team, including the SSNAP data analysts to optimise the quality of stroke care.

We are looking for an individual with excellent patient facing communication skills, who is a motivated, dynamic, team player to join our forward thinking, friendly team in delivering excellent patient care.

- To work closely with the stroke therapy team and SSNAP data analyst to gain in depth knowledge of the stroke SSNAP database
- To extract and input data from patient’s therapy and medical records to necessary databases.
- To provide high quality administrative support to the Stroke therapy team.
- To support the team in identifying opportunities for improved administrative processes, enhancing current ways of working to improve patient experience, improve quality, productivity and service delivery.
- To ensure data is collected and accurately inputted to meet deadlines, under the supervision of the stroke therapy team leaders.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Data entry and collection skills
- Proficient use of a range of IT clinical systems and microsoft packages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise and demonstrate good organisation skills.
- Able to use initiative and flexibility, together with attention to detail.
- Able to deal with sensitive information and interact with patients to deal with enquires.
- Professional telephone manner and ability to handle complex calls and potential complaints.
- Problem solving skills, having the ability to take ownership and accountability for tasks and challenges.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Understanding of what the NHS Constitution means to you, and your responsibilities to the public, patients and colleagues.

**Desirable**

- Working knowledge of clinical administration systems e.g. SystmOne and EPR
- Understanding of the stroke clinical pathway
- Working knowledge of the Sentinal Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP)

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience of working in an administrative role
- Experience of data collection and accurate data entry
- Extensive experience and knowledge of clinical systems.
- Experience of working as part of a team

**Desirable**

- Previous NHS experience
- Experience of offering suggestions for improving own or teams working practices.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- GCSE Maths and English - grade C / 4 or above
- Minimum NVQ level 3 in relevant subject area e.g. business administration or equivalent
- Evidence of ongoing personal development
