The postholder will provide expert psychological assessment/consultation to parents whose babies have been admitted or recently discharged from the NNU. This is primarily an inpatient role, with some outpatient clinics.  As a senior clinician, the post-holder will also be expected to offer supervision and line management to junior staff and trainees on placement at the hospital.  The post-holder is expected to demonstrate training and experience relating to working in the NHS (or equivalent) and with medical populations. Experience in trauma informed care and psychological models of treatment is essential, as is the capacity for effective teamwork in multidisciplinary teams.
