### Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic 0.6 WTE Band 8a Practitioner Psychologist to join Haltemprice CMHT in the East Riding. We are looking for someone with experience of working in community settings with adults presenting with trauma, severe mental health difficulties, and complex needs.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside another psychologist within the team and be part of a well-established Adult Mental Health Psychology Service.

Following a recent service reconfiguration, we have appointed two Principal Psychologists to enhance support, supervision, and governance across psychology services in Hull and the East Riding.

The wider psychology team delivers a range of evidence-based therapies, including MBT, DBT, CAT, EMDR, and Family Therapy, and supports initiatives such as SIGs, CAT care planning peer supervision, and Intensive EMDR.

You will provide psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for people with complex and enduring mental health difficulties, using formulation-driven approaches to inform MDT care planning.

The role also includes opportunities to contribute to teaching, service development, quality improvement, and service evaluation. Additional hours may be available through maternity cover and service innovation projects across the wider psychology workforce.

### Main duties of the job

Deliver highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation, care planning, and individual/group interventions within the team.

Work autonomously and collaboratively to provide clinical leadership, consultation, and evidence-based psychological care.

Contribute to the development and organisation of community psychological services.

Provide consultation and advice on psychological care and risk management to multidisciplinary colleagues and carers.

Deliver clinical supervision to trainees, assistant psychologists, MHWPs, and qualified psychologists within the speciality.

Participate in research, audit, service evaluation, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.

Support staff through training, supervision, reflective practice, team formulations, and active involvement in MDT meetings.

Maintain professional development through peer forums, CPD opportunities, SIGs, group supervision, and clinical, managerial, and professional supervision.

Actively engage in your own clinical and professional development, supported by the wider psychology team.
