This is an exciting time to join the Trust as we move towards a new EPR system and embrace more digital and agile ways of working. You will bring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for quality improvement. As a senior member of the team, you will act as a role model for excellence, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and the strategic development of the service. There is opportunity for flexible working that could include working from home three days as part of the working week; this would be discussed at interview. The candidate will also manage the quality and performance targets assuring maximum accuracy and productivity levels within the Coding Team both for coding quality purposes and in support of key performance indicators. The post-holder will work closely with lead clinicians within their respective areas, to ensure that specialty level data is timely, standardized and robust to support performance. The post-holder will support the Head of Clinical Coding in developing and managing strategic plans for the department. To set up and perform internal coding audits, identifying variances against benchmarks, using tools such as CHKS to identify target areas. Participate in external exchange audits with other Trusts.
