### Job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous clinical coding experience.

As a Clinical Coder, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. You will review incoming clinical correspondence, ensure relevant information is correctly coded within patient records, and support the wider practice team in delivering high-quality patient care.

### Main duties of the job

- Process and code incoming clinical correspondence, both electronic and paper based.
- Scan and attach documents to patient records using SystmOne.
- Organise and manage workflow documents efficiently.
- Input accurate clinical codes to maintain patient records.
- Update patient problem lists and Summary Care Records where appropriate.
- Forward correspondence to the appropriate clinician when required.
- Ensure all coding is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Undertake additional administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice.
