Join our Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service (DIUCS) as part of our supportive Community Night Nursing team! You will be joining a fantastic team within the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service to support and assist Community Night Nursing during overnight mobile visits to patients in their own homes. As a Health Care Assistant, you will be working in pairs with a registered nurse always as part of a supportive and collaborative unit. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families and carers, assisting the registered staff in the assessment of health needs and delivery of care, sharing the driving of the IUCS vehicles across Dorset, working in the community, residential or in healthcare environment. The vehicles are stocked with essential nursing equipment, including catheters, wound dressings, palliative care stock. We are offering a part-time post of 30 hours per week. The service runs from 20.00 to 08.00. We welcome applications with a minimum of 23 hours per week over 2 nights. Rota patterns can be discussed at interview stage. To exercise a reasonable and agreed degree of autonomy and make judgements and decisions in order to satisfy the expectations and demands of the job. To undertake Clinical work and related tasks as delegated by registered nursing staff, following appropriate training and assessment of competency. To undertake clinical supervision in line with Trust policy, to further develop competence and clinical practice. To liaise effectively with all stakeholders in the care process.
