### The Position:

To work as part of the Clinical Administration team, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective administrative service. The role supports clinical services by ensuring accurate processing of information, effective coordination of administrative activities, and a responsive service to patients, service users, and clinical staff.

### The Candidate:

Educated to a general standard through formal qualifications (e.g. Standard Grades/National 5s) or equivalent experience, the candidate will have previous experience in data input or general office duties. They will demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills, strong organisational ability, and a high level of attention to detail.

The candidate will be willing to undertake on-the-job training, including developing competence in hospital electronic systems and the Medical Records Management System. They will also be required to complete all statutory and mandatory training in line with organisational requirements.

### Location, Working Pattern and Contract Duration:

This post will be based at The Balfour

The successful candidate will work 21.89 hours per week on a part-time basis. Working days and hours can be arranged flexibly across weekdays, Monday to Friday.

This post is Fixed Term until 31/12/2026 due to service requirement, there may an extension to this role but it will be subject to formal approval.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.
