### Job summary

As Clinic Manager, you will play a key role in leading the continued success and growth of Sturminster Dental Care, an award-winning, five-surgery private dental practice with a strong reputation and an established, loyal team. Working closely with the Director of Clinic Support, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operational, financial and commercial performance of the practice, while maintaining the high standards of patient care and supportive culture that make the practice special.

This is a leadership role for someone who can inspire and develop an experienced team, drive business performance, manage change and confidently handle people and employee relations matters. You will use your commercial awareness and operational expertise to identify opportunities for growth, improve efficiency and deliver sustainable results, while ensuring colleagues feel supported and patients continue to receive an exceptional experience.

Dental experience is not essential. We are looking for an experienced people leader who is commercially minded, resilient and confident making decisions, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage performance and navigate change in a busy customer-focused environment.

### Main duties of the job

As Clinic Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day management and long-term development of Sturminster Dental Care. Working closely with the Director of Clinic Support, you will lead the practice across its operational, financial and commercial performance, ensuring the team is engaged, the practice runs efficiently and patients receive an exceptional experience.

You will lead and develop the experienced clinical and administrative team, creating a positive, supportive and accountable culture. This will include coaching and mentoring colleagues, supporting recruitment and onboarding, managing performance and development, and confidently handling employee relations, absence and challenging conversations. You will build strong relationships with clinicians and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and teamwork across the practice.

Commercial performance will be a key part of your role. You will have responsibility for the practice P&L, budgets, KPIs and business performance, using financial and operational data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. You will work towards revenue, EBITDA and Annual Operating Plan targets, translating insights into practical action plans that improve productivity, profitability and patient experience.

You will also oversee the smooth operational running of the practice, ensuring clinician diaries, recalls, utilisation, stock, equipment and resources are managed effectively. You will monitor practice standards, manage patient feedback and complaints professionally, and ensure the practice continues to meet CQC, health and safety and other regulatory requirements.

As part of the wider Envisage Dental team, you will work collaboratively with central support functions including Finance, HR, Marketing, Recruitment and IT. You will contribute to local marketing and business development initiatives, attend leadership meetings and support neighbouring practices where required.

### We're looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing and developing.

**Essential**

- You'll have strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with the ability to analyse business performance, manage budgets and KPIs, and identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.
- You'll be confident leading people, managing employee relations matters and handling challenging conversations professionally, including performance management, absence and other people-related issues. Experience leading teams through periods of change, while maintaining engagement and morale, is essential.
- You'll be an excellent communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
