### Job overview

Are you looking for a new challenge within a dynamic CAMHS research clinic?

We are recruiting two Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) to join the Oxfordshire CAMHS AnDY Research Clinic Team. The two vacancies comprise on full-time and one part-time fixed-term maternity cover positions.

The role is based within the Anxiety and Depression in Young People (AnDY) Research Clinic (Oxford). The Clinic is a collaboration between Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, University of Oxford, and University of Reading. Its aim is to build on the success of the AnDY Research Clinic at the University of Reading by establishing a research-ready clinical service in Oxfordshire that can support research around the development, maintenance, prevention, and treatment of mental health difficulties in childhood and adolescence.

The post-holder will work within the service providing high volume, brief interventions, focusing particularly on a range of low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based interventions, to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.

### Main duties of the job

The role is pivotal to enhancing accessibility to the CAMHS AnDY clinic by delivering low-intensity psychological interventions for mild to moderate low mood and anxiety disorders.

You will:

- Undertake mental health assessments of children, involving families and carers where required. This will include completing risk assessments, care plans, and GP letters, as well as liaising with other agencies such as social care and schools.
- Provide one-to-one, CBT-informed, evidence-based interventions to children and their families, both remotely and face to face across a range of community bases and support the clinics contributions towards research.

The roles will involve working closely with children, young people, families, and education settings.

The roles are pivotal in enhancing accessibility to CAMHS by delivering low-intensity psychological interventions for mild to moderate low mood and anxiety disorders, as well as assessing the mental health needs of children and young people.
