A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010. ### Main duties of the job To work  as part of a locality  team to support children, families and settings in a designated geographical area. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist who wishes to develop skills in working with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)  in clinics, nursery/school settings and home environments. The Speech and Language Therapy Service supports children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and eating and drinking needs, across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County. The service provides a range of packages of care for children with speech and language difficulties, developmental language disorder, Autism, learning difficulties, physical difficulties, eating and drinking difficulties, voice disorders, hearing impairment  and disorders of fluency. The service aims to provide support to children in the most appropriate setting e.g. health, education, home. We are a large department relative to other departments across the country. This means that there are frequent opportunities to develop skills,  and we have therapists who are able to specialise in clinical areas and share their knowledge/support  less experienced therapists. We work in teams with a shared caseload. We actively support new staff to build up their confidence in managing cases,  allowing  the gradual build up of skills and experience over time.  This includes shadowing and CPD opportunities, and time to discuss cases whilst you develop your skills.
