Band 6 Children’s Occupational Therapist- (base negotiable across west area of Argyll and Bute) Children’s Services .We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Children’s Occupational Therapy Team within the west area of Argyll and Bute on a permanent basis.

This area covers Oban,Mid Argyll,Kintyre and Islay This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a developing community children’s service, supporting children and young people aged 0–18 years who present with a range of physical, developmental and learning disabilities.In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality Occupational Therapy service, including assessment, formulation and implementation of individualised intervention programmes.

You will support children and young people to develop independence and participation in activities of daily living, play and education, working closely with families, carers and education colleagues to ensure a coordinated and person-centred approach to care.The post is community-based and involves working across a variety of environments including homes, nurseries, schools and community settings.

You will be required to work flexibly in response to service need and make effective use of digital platforms, including virtual consultations where appropriate.

You will also contribute to multidisciplinary working across health, education and social care teams.We are looking for a therapist who is able to work both autonomously and as part of a supportive team, with strong communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills.

An interest in, or experience of, paediatric practice is essential, alongside a commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.In return, we offer regular supervision, access to training and development opportunities, and the chance to work within a supportive and collaborative team environment across Argyll and Bute.This post requires PVG Scheme membership for working with children.
