### Job overview

Would you like to be part of developing and expanding an exciting and unique community service?

Make a huge difference to children with complex respiratory needs in the community.

Additional funding has been secured to expand our newly established Specialist Children's Community Physiotherapy Service. Following the launch of the service a year ago it has demonstrated the positive impact and need of having community respiratory physiotherapy for children in Oxfordshire. You would work alongside the current Children's Specialist Community Respiratory Physiotherapist and the wider Children's Integrated Therapies Physiotherapy Team and CYP Nurses, supported by the Professional Lead for Physiotherapy and Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner in adult community respiratory. You would work collaboratively with teams at the Oxford University Hospital to facilitate early supported discharge and admission avoidance where possible.

Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.

### Main duties of the job

You will be jointly responsible for leading this specialist clinical area, and supporting the professional lead with the development of the service including scoping the requirements, data collection and analysis.

You will provide advanced respiratory assessment, treatment and escalation plans for patients in homes, schools and clinic settings; providing a comprehensive community based respiratory physiotherapy service for patients with complex health needs, formulated around evidence-based practice and recognised national standards.

This post will include opportunities for service development, research, education and teaching. We are committed to CPD and will work with you to further develop your skills and experience.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities
